Last December 29, the UP Alpha Sigma Fraternity Manila has distributed 6 sacks (150kg) of rice to our PALNOVA jeepney drivers to cap off Bigay Agapay. This is in addition to the 10 sacks of rice (500kg) distributed last November. We would like to thank our partners and donors for supporting us in this project.
What is Bigay Agapay?
Bigay Agapay, launched last October 10, is a project that aims to assist fifty jeepney drivers and operators of the Palmera-Novaliches (PALNOVA) FEJODAP with a route from Palmera, San Jose Del Monte, Bulacan to Bayan, Novaliches, Quezon City. Since the onset of the pandemic, our jeepney drivers and operators have struggled to have their needs met due to strict health protocols set by the government in response to the public health crisis. The project’s goal is to provide at least fifty 10-25kg sacks of rice to our beneficiaries to help them offset their daily expenses.
