Last May 16, 2021, a fire broke out in the University of the Philippines - Philippine General Hospital (UP-PGH), the country’s largest COVID-19 referral facility. This disaster has caused significant damage to the hospital’s facilities, impeding the hospital staff’s ability to treat both COVID-19 and non-COVID-19 patients.
The UP Alpha Sigma Fraternity is one with UP-PGH patients and staff in need of help. True to our highest goal of Alay sa Sambayanan, the UP Alpha Sigma Fraternity Alumni Association, along with the Fraternity’s residents, donated P772,072.00 earlier today to UP-PGH Director Dr. Gerardo Legaspi for the hospital’s rehabilitation efforts.
We hope this contribution helps in the UP-PGH’s efforts to rebuild their damaged facilities in order to continue serving the Filipino people.
